The fall arrest lanyard is made from 44mm wide polyester yarn webbing with an alloy steel double-action snap hook at each end. The hooks have a 19mm gate opening and a 23kN minimum breaking strength.

The loops at each end are protected by an abrasion-resistant covering, preventing the metallic hooks from damaging the webbing.

The 1.8-metre long lanyard expands to absorb energy shock should a fall occur. Supporting up to 140kg, the lanyard has been manufactured to comply with Australian Standard AS1891.1.
